Post Mayday Comedown - listen to the mp3@ the Hope (upstairs, ex-Polar)03 May 2005The May event was a mostly acoustic night, but also included a chinese harp and a fresh apple, recorded live into laptops, and turned into a performance as we watched and listened. Quite bizarre and wonderful - thanks Phil and Ed. Here you can listen to part of the remarkable experimental live set played by Ed and Phil at April 2005's A3 event; two laptops, a chinese harp and a crunchy apple came together to provide something quite unprecedented. This mp3 is 14 minutes long, so even though the file size been significantly compressed, visitors without broadband should be warned .. click here to listen . Please note the apple was deliberately left unpeeled to give a "warmer" sound... Also singing and playing live were At Sea Japan an excellent acoustic guitar and female vocal trio, and singer songwriters Colin Chantler and Toby Ratcliffe, all of whom created a really very nice vibe.
